The Clean Cycle™ is our version of the proven Organic Rankine Cycle.
The Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) has been generating power year-in and year-out for over forty years in some of the world’s biggest plants.
The principle is simple: capture wasted heat, use it to vaporize an organic working fluid (with a boiling point below water’s) and make that vapor drive a turbine. Then condense the vapor again and start over.
ORC has stood the test of time because it works and it delivers a return on investment. But standard ORC is designed for massive heat flows and high temperatures found in the biggest heat-wasting applications.
Clean Cycle™ is the first technology to take the principles of ORC and optimize it for the more common heat-wasting applications found all over the world – like landfill engines and biomass boilers.
Our technology is an ORC deployment but with a difference:
